FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has metal pipe with fire-resistant shell and plug at end. Inclined through openings are equally spaced along shell perimeter and closed at outlet ends with plugs from low-melting temperature material. Through openings are arranged in 1-4 rows, each row having 3-6 openings and positioned in vertical plane. Openings are inclined relative to axis of apparatus for an angle of 10-80 deg. Total area of working sections of openings is 0.8-0.95 of pipe channel section area. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation.
