1533366 Sliding clasp fasteners YOSHIDA KOGYO KK 12 July 1977 [12 July 1976] 29173/77 Heading E2S In a method of making separate sliding clasp fasteners from a continuous pair of interengaged stringers 10, 11 whose tapes are of thermoplastics fibres, the stringers are fed to a first station where an element-free gap 19 is made, and the top severed at 20, by a heated punch which fuses the fibres, a bottom stop 22 being applied (Fig. 2). As the stringers 10, 11 advance to a second station, a slider 23 is applied, and then a top stop 26 is fitted (Fig. 4) simultaneously with the next punch stroke at the first station. |
