<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a sheet remaining in a paper discharge device without moving a sorter. SOLUTION: A connecting path for conveying a sheet to be discharged is laid between a paper discharge device 15 and a sheet post-processing device 21 at a position where the connecting path does not make contact with the paper discharge device, distant from the paper discharge device. When a manipulating member 55 is turned to a releasing position, a lower guide 32 of the connecting path is opened, and the paper discharge device 15 is linked to the lower guide 32 through the intermediary of a coupling link 72 so as to be opened. The rotation of the paper discharge device is limited by a link device so as to prevent the lower guide and the paper discharge device from interfering with each other. Sheets remaining in the paper discharge device or the coupling path can be removed without moving a sorter.</p> |
