摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the yield of a photoelectric conversion device, to lessen the amount of loss of the device due to the unsatisfactory state of the device and to reduce the cost of the device by a method wherein either of scanning circuits and circuits for detection use are arranged on the opposed two sides of the device and it is made possible to set the scanning directions of the circuits arranged on these two sides in the same direction. SOLUTION: Scanning circuits SRI are formed into one piece of a chip in every 100 steps, an IC chip with 10 pieces of SRI-1 to SRI-10 in total is arranged on each substrate 100 and control wirings g1 to g1000 are connected with each terminal of each IC chip. Moreover, integrated circuits for detection use are also formed into one piece of a chip in every 100 pieces of processing circuits, an integrated circuit chip for detection use with 10 pieces of LC1 to LC10 in total is arranged on each substrate 100 and signal wirings Sig1 to Sig1000 are connected with each terminal of each IC chip. IC chips and integrated circuit chips for detection use on substrates 150 are also arranged in the same manner as the arrangement of the IC chips and the integrated circuit chips for detection use on the substrates 100. The scanning directions of the scanning circuits of photoelectric conversion element arrays on four sheets of the substrates and the scanning directions of the integrated circuits for detection use of the arrays are all set in the same direction as the scanning directions shown by arrows.
