PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire and cable excellent in residual property of mouse preventing agent by forming a coating layer of a resin consisting of a specified component composition on the surface of a sheath formed of a resin to having a microcapsulated mouse preventing agent kneaded thereto. SOLUTION: A pluraluty of insulated wires 4 formed of a conductor 2 covered with an insulator 3 are stranded together, and an inclusion 5 is interposed between the insulated wires 4 to form a circular stranded wire. This stranded wire is covered with an insulating sheath 6 formed of a vinyl chloride resin having a microcapsulated mouse preventing agent kneaded thereto. A surface coating layer 7 formed by mixing, to 100 parts by weight of vinyl chloride resin, 45-50 parts by weight of an adipic acid polyester plasticizer, 5-10 parts by weight of epoxidated soybean oil, and 5 parts by weight of barium zinc stabilizer is formed on the surface of the sheath 6. The mouse preventing agent can be thus prevented from being evaporated even when moved within the sheath 6 and leaked to the surface, and a wire and cable 1 capable of keeping mouse preventing effect over a long period can be provided. |
