PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable detection response characteristic with a high resetting property even if the temperature on the surface of an alkali source changes. SOLUTION: The constituent of a sample eluted from a column 8 is mixed with hydrogen gas, make-up gas, and air from a first gas supply port 9 and a second gas supply port 10 and arrives at an alkali source 1, thus generating radical containing nitrogen or phosphor by, for example, combustion and ions are generated. A voltage is applied between a signal output terminal 3 and a high-voltage electrode 4 and current corresponding to the amount of eluted constituent flowing from the column 8 is taken from a signal output terminal 3. To heat an alkali source 1, platinum coil provided near the surface of the alkali source constitutes a bridge circuit along with three resistors, the current supplied to the platinum coil is controlled by the unbalance output of the bridge circuit and the surface temperature 1 of the alkali source 1 can be constantly maintained. |
