<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a twice transfer system image forming device by which transfer irregularity is eliminated and transfer efficiency is high. SOLUTION: This device is constituted so that an image formed on a first image carrier 1 is formed on an intermediate transfer body 5 being a second image carrier and transferred on a transfer material P by using a contact type transfer means thereafter. In such a case, when the dielectric constant of the surface layer of the first image carrier 1 is denoted as (εd), the dielectric constant of the surface layer of the transfer body 5 is denoted asεitd and the dielectric constant of the surface layer of the secondary contact type transfer means is denoted asεTr they satisfy the relation ofεd<=εitd<=εTr. Besides, the volume resistivity of the transfer body 5 is defined as 10<6>Ω.cm-10<10>Ω.cm (at the impressing time of 1kV) and the volume resistivity of the contact type transfer means is set to be 10<8>Ω.cm-10<15>Ω.cm (at the impressing time of 1kV).</p> |
