PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible printed circuit board(FPC) connector of light weight and small size. SOLUTION: A socket connector10 is constrcuted by a columnar elastomer 12 wrapped with a flexible film 13 having a plurality of parallel conductors 13b formed thereon in a cavity 11a of a socket housing 11, and a plug connector is constructed by fixing a contact part 22c of a flexible printed circuit board 22 to the outer surface of a plug housing 21. With the use of flexible film as a contact a narrow pitch is attained. By using elastomer instead of a metal spring low back and light weight conditions are assured. Further, by forming the flexible printed circuit board to be of plug connector type, handling is made easy. |
