<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase transmission capacity without a transmission delay and to obtain a channel having two different communication quality, without performing the extension of a band and the increase of power, when radio communication is accessed to an ATM network. SOLUTION: By separating input data 21 into the main channel data 22 of L-bit and the sub-channel data 23 of 1-bit in the separation part 16 of a transmitter 11, performing a convolution encoding for data 22 in a convolution encoder 17 and performing a mapping for this binary information 24 by switching the information for every L symbol of main channel data 21 on orthogonal I and Q channel axes according to data 23 in a mapper part 18, additional information to be the data 23 of transmission rate of 1/L is possible to be transmitted. This information is decoded by the viterbi decoder 19 of a receiver 12 and a sub-channel having arbitrary communication quality can be provided by the arbitrary selection of the value (Lmin <=L) of the L-bit.</p> |
