Leak identifying method in fuel supply system of IC engine with high pressure injection

The method uses a signal from a rpm sensor, which determines the rpm of a charger, if it deviates from an expected value. A fault is determined, if the signal from the rpm sensor deviates from a specified threshold value. The threshold value is dependent on at least an rpm of the IC engine and/or an amount of fuel which is specifiable. A fault is identified, if the signal rises to more than a permitted amount.
