A strip of self-adhesive labels is formed by providing a backing strip (20) having a labelling strip (10) superimposed over it, then dividing the labelling strip into successive labels (L) and waste regions (W): the waste regions (W) are more firmly secured to the backing strip than the labels (L) and effectively reinforce the strength of the labelling strip for passage through a label application machine. |
