A garment assembly including a jacket body (1) with a front central opening (10) having vertical edges (11, 12) and a horizontal edge (13) extending therebetween at the top of the back (6), said edges being provided with a continuous releasable fastening member (14, 15), and two dickies (2, 3) each comprising a unitary assembly of a front panel (23, 24) with an opening aligned with the opening (10) in the jacket body (1), a back collar (25, 26) and a lapel (4, 5). Each dicky is further provided with an attachment element (27, 28) extending along the opening in the dicky and the back collar thereof for engagement with a corresponding attachment element on the jacket body (1). One of the dickies (3) has a single-breasted jacket non-overlapping closure and lapel (5), whereas the other dicky (2) has a double-breasted jacket overlapping closure and lapel (4).
