A cultivating machine comprising a structure arranged to be mounted on ground engaging wheels for movement in a line of travel, at least one tool support means (74,75) mounted on the structure so as to be moveable with respect thereto, and drive means (54,55) mounted on said structure for driving said tool support means (74,75), said tool support means (74,75) comprising a body having two end portions, the first end portion being driven in use in a circular path by said drive means (54,55), the second end portion being connected to said structure through a link arm (78,79) pivotably attached to the tool support means (74,75) and to a swing arm (87,88), which in turn is pivotably attached to the structure, the swing arm (87,88) being biased toward a median position by biasing means (90,91), said second end of said tool support means carrying at least one cultivating tool. <IMAGE>
