PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding side fence equipped with a pinch preventing means, in which a person's hand, etc., is prevented from being pinched when he is folding up the fence. SOLUTION: A folding type side fence is equipped with a lower cross-beam 3, a plurality of props 4 capable of rising and falling, upper cross-beam 5 installed at the tops of these props 4, and an upright holding mechanism 6 which holds the props 4 in the upright attitude, wherein tumble hindering means 7 to support props 4 on the way of tumbling are furnished on the lower cross- beam 3. Each tumble hindering means 7 is installed on the lower cross-beam 3 with possibility of rising and falling from/to its base member 14 in such a way as energizing the props to upright positioning at normal times and is equipped with a prop retainig member 15 to make put-down by manual operation against the energizing force. |
