<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of defective situations such as abnormal combustion of CO gas and others by reaction exhaust gas with air, burning, sampling combustion exhaust gas, measuring the concentration of given components in the combustion exhaust gas and determining that a dust collector in a metal melting furnace is abnormal when the concentration reaches the specified threshold value. SOLUTION: Exhaust gas containing dust exhausted out of an electric furnace 10 during the time of melting a raw material is sucked, into a dust collecting duct 14a, introduced into a combustion column 11 with air to carry out the oxidative reaction. The most part of the combustion exhaust gas provided with the high temperature by the above arrangement is introduced into a preheating device 19, while a part of the same is introduced into a dust collecting duct 14c through a dust collecting duct 14c. The combustion exhaust gas is sampled by a sample probe 3 set in the dust collecting duct 14c, and the concentration of given components in the exhaust gas is measured by a gas analysis meter 4, and when the concentration reaches the threshold value set by a setting means 5, the dust collector 2 is determined to be abnormal by a determining means 6, and an alarm is issued by an alarm means 7 or the like.</p> |
