PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent any pollution caused by discharge of unburned hydrocarbon by oxidizing the unburned hydrocarbon contained in the exhaust gas in the case of two-cycle internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: The present invention is related to a method of delaying injection of fuel into the air used for scavenging the exhaust gas after combustion and further of delaying any early ignition. Owing to this delay, an exhaust gas temperature is increased, and post-oxidation of hydrocarbon not yet burned contained in the exhaust gas is allowed to take place and owing to this post- oxidation, any particular catalyst is not required to be used for exhaust gas. The abovementioned delay may be achieved within the actional range of the regulated number of revolution of an engine. |
