PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding shaft excellent in dimensional precision, without causing backlash add capable of fitting to a boss for shaft holding at optimum condition and its production method of producing the shaft in large quantity and at a low cost. SOLUTION: A sliding shaft, in which a thin thickness formed layer 3 made of elastic plastic is integrally to be formed on the surface of a spline part 2 of shaft main body 1, is set in a die, in which a die face is formed to the ruggedness corresponding to the spline part as taking the spline itself of shaft main body for a core die, by injecting an elastic plastic material into the fine cavity formed between both dies, a thin thickness formed layer is integrally formed on the surface of spline part. |
