PROCESS OF COOKING OF EASY-MELTABLE GLASSES AND ELECTRIC FURNACE FOR ITS REALIZATION

FIELD: glass industry. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to glass industry and makes it possible to produce high-quality easy-meltable glass by its cooking in electric furnace with wall tin oxide electrodes and top gas heating in zone of burden charging. For increased output of quality glass and life cycle of furnace glass formation and melting are carried out in layer created by cooling of bottom of cooking zone and walls of cooking and production zones by metal coolers which are amounts to 58-60% of total area of walls and bottom of cooking and production tanks of glass cooking furnace. Area of working surface of electrodes amounts to 20-60 % of area of side walls. Flameless gas burner enabling volume of gas interlayer between melt and burden to be diminished and by this energy consumption necessary for complete melting of the latter to be reduced is installed in charging zone in arch part of furnace to intensify melting of burden of corrosive easy-meltable glasses. Apart from this neck is manufactured in the form of water-cooled tube and outlet presents shaped bar with cylindrical electrically heated channel made at angle 35-45 deg with respect to surface of glass mass to save to save refractory material and prolong service life of furnace. EFFECT: increased output of high-quality glass, reduced energy consumption, saving of refractory material and prolonged service life of furnace. 2 dwg
