METHOD OF FLYING CORROSION INHIBITOR APPLICATION ON METAL SURFACE

FIELD: protection of metals from corrosion with the aid of inhibitors; applicable in various industries, mainly, in protection of gas-air zones of tanks for storage of oil products. SUBSTANCE: method of application of volatile corrosion inhibitor to metal surface includes application of volatile corrosion inhibitors to metal surface by spraying in electrostatic field up to optimal inhibitor density of charge with subsequent treatment of the surface with flow of ionized gas generated by corona discharge. In embodiment of the offered method, uniform distribution of inhibitor over the protected surface is attained with reduced evaporation of inhibitor and its protective properties increase that results in prolongation of term of protection from corrosion. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
