Electrical cable laid e.g. in grooves without spring back

Wires (1) forming electrical cable are surrounded by a conductive rubber layer (2), insulation (3) and a further conductive rubber layer (4), around which is a weakly conductive outer sheath (5). The outer sheath is coated with an adherent layer (6) with good sliding characteristics. The 10-100 mu m thick layer is pref. formed from PVC or a fluoropolymer and has an electrical surface resistance of 1-10 milliohm/cm, incorporating a dispersion of graphite particles to increase its conductivity. The outer sheath is pref. of chloroprene rubber.
