The present invention provides a process for making a highly effective granular suds suppressing component comprising the steps of : (a) intimately mixing a liquid or molten suds suppressing component with an emulsifier to form a premix, and (b) granulating the premix with a powder wherein an anionic surfactant is used as the emulsifier. Furthermore, it is preferred that the granulating powder comprises aluminosilicate.
