The pin (1) is held within a sleeve in a bore through a contact-carrying plate. It has an electrically conductive shell (5) with a longitudinally movable outer probe (7) at its leading end (6), comprising a shank (8) with a head (9) and a piston (10) in two parts (11,12) for guidance. A first helical compression spring (15) is inserted between the rear end (14) of the outer probe and a hollow insulator (16) from which the inner probe (19) protrudes, backed by a second spring (25) and an electrical contact (26). The shell has an external thread (29) for screwing into the sleeve.
