<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clean the entire area of an input surface without the possibility of misinput and malfunction even when the information input device which inputs information through a touch panel is powered on. SOLUTION: The input surface of the touch panel is divided into 1st and 2nd input areas and when there is an input by a touch on the touch panel, whether or not the input is an input for setting a cleaning mode wherein information is inhibited from being inputted from the 1st input area by a touch on a specific area in the 2nd input area (step S12) or whether or not the input is an input for resetting the cleaning mode (S14), and whether or not the input is an input for setting the cleaning mode of the 2nd input area by a touch in a specific area in the 1st input area (S16) or whether or not the input is an input for resetting the cleaning mode (S18) are decided; and the cleaning modes of the 1st and 2nd input areas are set and reset according to the decision results.</p> |
