<p>The recycling bin has at least one inlet equipped with an inner chute (4) which has a glass breaker in the form of a percussion rod (26) which moves at right angles to the trough. The percussion rod is situated beneath the trough and in line with an aperture (27) through it, while a second aperture (38) contains a percussion rod release mechanism (35,37). The percussion rod forms an extension to a piston rod (16) in a pneumatic cylinder which has its housing (14) located beneath the trough. The piston divides the cylinder into a lower chamber (17) connected to a compressed air circuit (8), and an upper chamber (18) containing a spiral return spring (25).</p> |
