PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such deformation of a side surface housing part of a female connector by action of fitting force with a male connector as to be pushed outward to be opened or cracked. SOLUTION: A device has a housing 2 in which plural male contacts 8 are contained, and the housing 2 is integrally moulded comprising a lower housing part 3 and an upper housing part extended along length in steps. The upper housing part 4 has plural apertures 6 in both side surfaces in the length direction. One end side of each of the male contacts 8 is put to face the external from each aperture 6 in the side surface, and a plate-shaped reinforcement member 14 is provided on an upper surface of the lower housing part 3 on the side of each side surface of the upper housing part 4 along a parallel disposition direction of the male contacts 8 at an outer side position of a side surface housing 11a of a female connector 10.
