PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner excellent in productivity as well as fixability at low temp. and to obtain a developer. SOLUTION: This toner contains a resin contg. an oligomer whose mol.wt. is 300-600 by an amt. corresponding to 1-5% peak area of a pattern measured by gel permeation chromatography and has 5-100m<2> /g BET specific surface area. This toner is combined with a carrier to obtain the objective developer.
