PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of unevenness in the gloss and color tone of the surface of a coating film and the whitening of the film by forming an adsorptive layer contg. a material which adsorbs chemicals generated from the coating film on a surface confronting the coating film. SOLUTION: This coating film protecting film 1 has a two-layered structure consisting of an adsorptive layer 10 of about 10μm thickness and a protective layer 11 of about 30μm thickness. The adsorptive layer 10 is formed by dispersing calcium carbonate powder in a base film of high density PE. This layer 10 is integrated with the protective layer 11 by laminating. A coating film 3 is coated with this protecting film 1 through a double-coated adhesive tape so that an air layer 4 is formed between the film 3 and the adsorptive layer 10. The layers 10, 11 may be formed in one body. It is desirable that the air layer 4 does not open to the outside.
