PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system suitable for using a pit edge recording system advantageous for high density recording. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a semiconductor laser 10 and an optical disk 1, and records information on the optical disk, and detects change in a reflection light quantity from the optical disk or rotation of a reflection polarization plane to reproduce the information. In such a case, the means 17 correcting a recording pulse width and recording power at a recording time and the means 20 correcting edge position fluctuation at a reproducing time by using the pit edge recording system allowing a front edge and a rear edge of a hole pit or a recording domain generated at the recording time to carry the information are provided. |
