PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such troubles that part of an option unit or the cover of a main body is deformed or electrical noncontact occurs by stopping drive sections possibly kept in touch with hands when the cover of an image forming device is removed for adding the option unit, stopping the power feed to the added unit to eliminate the trouble for cutting the power of an image forming device body, and closing a notch section not to insert a hand into the notch section for movement. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with a cover 1 made partially removable to add an option unit and a unit fitting section Z for fitting the option unit when the cover 1 is removed. The partial operation of the drive system on the image forming device side and the power feed to the option unit are stopped when the cover 1 is removed. |
