PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument which can ascertain whether a pulse frequency value or pitch value is normal or abnormal even when the frequency or pitch value largely fluctuates in such a state that the frequency or pitch value gets out of a window. SOLUTION: In an arm-attaching type plethysmograph, a window W is set for judging whether the pulse frequency value measured this time is normal or abnormal from the measured value which was decided as a normal value at the preceding time from among the pulse frequency values found from the detected signals of a sensor unit for detecting pulse wave. Whether the pulse frequency value measured this time is a normal or abnormal is judged in the window W depending upon the pulse frequency whether the pulse frequency exists in the window W or not, but, even when the pulse frequency value measured this time does not exist in the window W and judged as abnormal, the window-judgment result of a third abnormal value is corrected by regarding the value as normal and displayed or recorded like the measured value M8 shown in the figure. |
