PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress effectively deteriorated tooth contact due to the inclination and deflection/bending of the axis of a reduction pinion by interposing a tumble preventive device between the inner surface of a differential carrier surrounding the shaft of reduction pinion and the outer surface of the shaft of reduction pinion. SOLUTION: Surrounding the shaft part 22' of a companion flange, a tumble preventive device 54 is installed in the middle part between an outer bearing 18 and the companion flange 22 fixed to the shaft part 14' of a reduction pinion 14. The device 54 has a ring-shaped member consisting of a ring situated outside in the radial direction and another ring situated inside in the radial direction, and the outer ring is fitted by pressure into the bore of a bearing retainer 56 constituting part of the differential carrier 16 and is secured thereto. This allows effectively suppressing the inclination or deflection/bending of the axis of the reduction pinion 14.
