PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and light head-mounted liquid crystal display device using a small liquid crystal display element under two inches in diagonal length and having the wide angle of a visual field. SOLUTION: A magnifying lens is composed of three lenses made of sulfur- contained urethane resin and in order from the object side, a first positive meniscus lens whose concave surface confronts the object side, a second plano- convex lens whose plane confronts the object side and a third plano-convex lens whose convex surface confronts the object side are arranged. The conditions: (1) 0.5<ϕ3 /ϕ<0.58, (2) -0.65ϕ<ϕ1f -1.24ϕ1 >-0.42ϕare satisfied, where, ϕ is the refractive power of a whole system, ϕ1 is the refractive power of the first lens, ϕ3 is the refractive power of the third lens and ϕ1f is the refractive power of the surface on the object side of the first lens. |
