<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the starting time of a CO-ROM drive system, etc., after bus reset by adding a simple software for ascertaining SCSI bus reset as firmware of an MPU in a controller having peripheral equipment. SOLUTION: When power source is turned on, and a reset is applied, such an initialization that MPU 7 in e.g. the CD-ROM system 5 peripheral ICs a peripheral equipment, for example, starts. Then, it enters the initialization process 2 to judge whether or not a CD-ROM disk 9, etc., is loaded in a CD- ROM drive part 8, and when the disk 9 is loaded, it enters the initialization process 3 to read TOC and TDB of the disk in a RAM 10 and a sub-buffer memory 23. Then, the initialization process 4 intializing a default parameter is performed. Then, the MPU 7 judges whether or not the SCSI bus 4 is reset in hardware. When not, the MPU 7 judges whether or not the command data are issued from an H-CPU 2 side, and when yes, command processing is performed. In such a case, it is simple to confirm whether the reset for the peripheral equipment 10 is the reset for itself or not.</p> |
