The drive method monitors the loading of the electric motor (2) during initial movement of the blind between its 2 end positions, for detecting when an end stop is reached, with automatic cut-out of the motor and resetting of an internal counter. Each rotation of the electric motor is recorded by the counter during the subsequent operation of the blind and the motor is cut-out and the counter reset, when the count value corresponding to the end stop position is reached.
