Solution: A switching element which distributes incoming cells to a number of outputs on the basis of the periodic processing of an allocation list which is changed by shifting and random exchanging of two list elements after each pass. Advantages: - Simple algorithm, suitable for hardware. - All possible permutations are generated. - Minimum and maximum distances can be set. - Solution can also be used for problems in other areas.
