ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE ABSORBING MATERIAL AND PACKAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electromagnetic wave absorbing material which can absorb electronic waves having such a high frequency as several tens of GHz by mixing particles each of which contains one or more acicular magnetic particles of one or more kinds of magnetic materials. SOLUTION: An aggregate 2 of an electromagnetic wave absorbing material 1 is constituted by gathering a plurality of acicular particles 3 composed of a magnetic material. The particles 3 are separated from each other by adding a nonmagnetic insulator 5 to the particles. Grouped particles 4 which gather together is separated into individual particles after adding the insulator 5 to the particles 4. The frequency at which the electromagnetic wave absorbing material shows an electromagnetic wave absorbing effect is controlled by changing the shapes of the groups 4. The particles 3 are constituted of a magnetic material having high saturation magnetization. Therefore, the frequency at which the material shows the electromagnetic wave absorbing effect can set as high as several tens of GHz.
