<p>A device for removing unwanted volatile compounds from beer wort is disclosed. The device includes a column (1) having means (2) for uniformly feeding the beer wort into the column (1) in a first direction, means (10) for uniformly feeding a flow of inert gas or steam into said column (1) in a second direction preferably opposite to the first direction, and means for increasing the contact area between the wort and the flow of inert gas or steam inside said column (1).</p> |
