<p>A sports footwear device, wherein a plurality of stud-shaped members (1; 18) preferably in the approximate form of an inverted, truncated cone, are incorporated into the wearing surface of the sole. Each member has a cavity (4; 21, 22) situated axially opposite to the wearing surface (3'; 18') of the member, designed to absorb volume changes in said member on application of impact/pressure loading thereagainst. Said members may either constitute an integrally moulded part of the footwear outsole (19), or be designed with a screw head (2') for insertion in the footwear sole.</p> |
