The free end of the flank is welded to the outer edge of the ring surface by means of a peripheral seam. The welding seam is covered by a clamp ring (14,15) fixed to the flange (4,5). The flank (12,13) on the side turned away from the ring surface (8,9) engages behind by means of a ring rib (16,17) of the clamp ring and is tensioned against the ring surface. The ring rib locates flatly on the flank, and extends over its complete radial height. The free end of the clamp ring turned away from the ring rib is fixed to the flange by a seam process. To the free end of the clamp ring turned away from the ring rib connects a further ring rib (18,19) which engages behind the flange on its side turned away from the metal bellows (1).
