A sheet (22) in the printer is removed, near its back edge by a cylinder (4) positioned in front of the turning drum (3). It is guided under the periphery of the turning drum, and fed to a pick up system. A suction piece (5) and an auxiliary pick-up (6) with the same oscillating shaft (7) are connected by gear links. The opening and closing movement of the auxiliary pick-up and the movement of the suction piece above and below the periphery of the turning drum are controlled by a single cam gear (13,14,15) consisting of a radial cam (13), roller (14) and roller lever (15).
