The motor vehicle headlamp is of conventional construction with a rear shell (2) covering the reflector (7) and the main bulb (8) accessible from the rear of the headlamp shell for maintenance. The shroud (5,6) encloses the lamp connection (9) area, and a removable cover (11) fits over the edges of the shroud to seal the rear of the headlamp. An incandescent lamp (14) is fitted into a recess in the edge of the shroud, protected by a translucent cover (12,13). The opposite edge of the shroud houses a switch (15) which has a pushbutton (15a) that is pressed inward to open the switch when the cover is in place. The pushbutton springs out when the cover is removed is close the switch and supply the auxiliary lamp (14). |
