FIELD: electric engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has heavy-voltage and grounded electrodes which are connected to generating line through magnetic switch. Peak capacitor is connected in parallel to electrodes. Pulse generator which is designed as LC inverter is connected to heavy-voltage electrode through second magnetic switch. Generating line is charged by accumulating capacitor during switching of thyratron; simultaneously charge of capacitor in LC inverter is inverted and is also connected to thyratron. Single commutator is used in this device. EFFECT: simplified design, increased reliability, increased service life.
