FIELD: nuclear engineering; spent-fuel recovery at nuclear power plants and special factories. SUBSTANCE: spent-fuel storage has water pond, slotted ceiling built up of beams overhanging from opposing walls of water pond and forming with their loose ends charging opening; in addition, it is provided with conveying device and reinforcing beams longitudinally arranged on both sides of charging opening, their ends being secured in pond walls and joined to loose ends of overhanging beams; conveying device installed on reinforcing beams has turning gear whose boom is under-slotted ceiling of water pond. EFFECT: improved carrying capacity of slotted ceiling beams, increased number of spent-fuel boxes held by them, and enlarged spent-fuel storage capacity of pond. |
