A sleeve (10) for use as a mould for protecting, repairing or renovating a pipe (12) for transporting water, gas or other fluids. A liquid material such as polyurethane or epoxy resin is injected into the sleeve so that, as it polymerises, it protects or seals the pipe section covered by the sleeve. Said sleeve consists of a plurality of identical modules (14, 16, 18, 20, 22) assembled to form the mould and each comprising a male portion and a female portion linked by an intermediate portion. The male portion of one module is designed to fit into the female portion of the adjacent module.
