The invention concerns a compound of formula (I) wherein: -A-B- is of the formula >C=CH- or >CHCH2-; R<1> and R<2> are independently hydrogen or fluorine; R<3> and R<4> are independently hydrogen or methyl; D is O, S, SO, SO2 or of the formula R<5>N wherein R<5> is hydrogen or benzyl; or R<5> is of the formula R<6>CO-, or R<6>SO2- wherein R<6> is, for example, amino, or R<6> is of the formula R<7>C(O)O(1-6C)alkyl wherein R<7> is, for example, optionally substituted phenyl or optionally substituted (1-6C)alkyl, or R<6> is of the formula R<8>O-, wherein R<8> is benzyl or optionally substituted (1-6C)alkyl; or R<5> is of the formula R<10>CH(R<9>)(CH2)m- wherein m is 0 or 1, R<9> is, for example, fluoro and R<10> is hydrogen or (1-4C)alkyl; and pharmaceutically-acceptable salts thereof; processes for their preparation; pharmaceutical compositions containing them and their use as antibacterial agents.
