A method for shortly reserving a program of a VCR having an inputting key(1), a remote controller(2), a microcomputer(3), a displaying unit(4) and a ROM(6) is disclosed. First, all of informations for reserving a program are set. And then, a start time and an end time of the reservation time menu is set. At the time of the starting of the reservation, the set reservation information is displayed on the displaying unit(4). And also, the time menu is displayed. A set reservation contents can be changed according to a common reservation method.
