PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monolayer type photographic photoreceptor for electrophotography ensuring inexpensiveness, particularly having high sensitivity, and further having electrification stability, that is, long durability and high reliablity free from a drop in image density or contamination on surface. SOLUTION: Regarding an electrophotographic photoreceptor made of a conductive carrier and a photoconductive layer formed thereon, the photoconductive layer is made of a monolayer containing at least a mixture of a charge generation substance, a charge transport substance, binding resin and phenolic compound (preferably hindered phenolic compound or hydroquinone compound) and an organic sulfur compound (preferably dialkyl thioalkylate compound).
