SOLUTION: The defoaming apparatus of a deep aeration tank consists of an almost disc-shaped foam, collecting hood 11 formed so as to cover the upper surface of the outer cylindrical pipe 3 of a deep aeration tank, the tapered lead-out pipe leading out collected foam from the side surface of the foam collecting hood 11 and the deforming machine 13 connected to the discharge end of the lead-out pipe 12 to break foam. It is necessary to cover 80% or more of the upper surface area of the outer pipe cylinder of the foam collection food 11.
