PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformize the cyclical fluctuations of the production sending-out ratio of carbon monoxide at the outlet of a cryogenic separator by permanently providing a tank containing an adsorbent having affinity to carbon monoxide in the supply line between a purifying apparatus and the cryogenic separator. SOLUTION: In a continuous operation phase, the adsorbents in two adsorbing devices 4A, 4B and the adsorbent in a tank are saturated with carbon monoxide. When the adsorbing devices 4A, 4B are charged over and the use of the newly regenerated adsorbent is started, the adsorbing devices are saturated with carbon monoxide and the adsorbent in the tank 9 discharges some of held carbon monoxide. Next, when the adsorbing devices are saturated with carbon monoxide, the adsorbent in the tank 9 is again saturated with carbon monoxide. The tank 9 is permanently arranged in a production line 2 and has same dimension as the adsorbing devices 4A, 4B and the adsorbing devices are filled with a molecular sieve being the main adsorbent. |
