PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce strip-like electrode plates with stable and uniform battery properties by carrying out application process continuously at high productivity and forming coated parts and non-coated parts at constant gap all the time and slitting the resultant coated material. SOLUTION: The method of the present invention is a method too manufacture electrode plates for non-aqueous electrolytic secondary batteries, of which typical one is a lithium ion secondary battery and especially a method to form patterned coated parts and non-coated parts of electrode plates. The method involves a process to prepare a coating liquid for electrodes by kneding at least an active material and a binder, a process to form coating films by continuously applying the coating liquid for electrodes to collectors, a process to radiate electron beam to the coated films through a mask, and a process to remove the parts to which electron beam is not radiated with a solvent.
